We have a number of birthdays in June. Two of them are on June 7th. I made a trip to Denver this week to spend some time with David on his birthday. We all had a great time.
When I got to Denver Alicia was sick. That was sad, however, by evening she had perked up and we all enjoyed being together and having pizza and David opened up the presents from the family. "Ben 10" was the big hit with David, however, he enjoyed opening every Marvel charater that a young boy could ever own also. Nana & Papa got him an outfit, which is never their favorite but still fun to buy and a pass to SeaWorld that we will all enjoy once they move to San Antonio. The next day was the day we celebrated David's birthday by going to John's favorite place to eat (don't ask why, I think he was tired of Chucky Cheese and David didn't mind). In the middle of the dinner, unfortunately, David got sick to his stomach (the dreaded stomach flu that Alicia had a day earlier)and he had to be taken "almost" home. The reason I said almost is that he made an amazing recovery and insisted that Karen take him back to the restaurant. We were all amazed and a little nervous but, alas, we all went to the show afterwards to see "Kung Foo Panda". Everything was going well until too much popcorn was eaten and, you guessed it, David bolted from his seat and ran away. Karen ran after him and we thought she had found him but, alas, that was not the case. So the employees in the theater launched a search for him and finally found him in the bathroom (that was a brilliant deduction, Karen tried to tell them but no one listened.) All of this was happening while the rest of the family enjoyed and laughed at the movie, not knowing of the drama Karen was going through. He was carted home at last with a return ticket given by the theater folk and so he will see it another time with his mom. That evening I was going to take him and Alicia back to the hotel I was staying at for a slumber party. Alicia really enjoyed that slumber party but that was not the story for David. David joined us in the morning with Austin and we had our free breakfast at the hotel. I spared no expense for this boy. (ha ha). I love the word free. During my visit, John and Karen had 3 people look at the house to rent and we think one will come through with a contract for them, and then they can really move to San Antonio. As one of my favorite cartoon characters would say "Thats All Folks!", at least for Nana's visit.

Thanks for coming Nana. We had a great time. Alicia got a little sunburned at her swim party but she had a lot of fun. I heard from Connie today and she got another call from someone moving from out of state and thier friend is going to come by to look. I hope today she gets the ap's back from the 3 people from Friday. Wish us luck and we will be there next week.
